So, what is DA?
DA is a metric invented by a company MOZ and tells you about how much an SEO guru knows about SEO. If any Trainer, Teacher, Coach, Guru, Expert, Master tells you that Increase DA to increase rankings. Then you must stay away from him because he also does not know about SEO.
DA or Domain Authority has not a single relation with the ranking of SERP (Search Engine Result Page). We can say this because google does not rank the whole site it ranks pages and DA defines the whole site. If you study carefully that google use page rank algorithms, not domain rank algorithms. Therefore if a single score identifies that your site will rank or not then it will not work at all.
The simplest proof for proving DA useless is it can be increased very easily. You just go to Fiverr and search for DA increaser there are a lot of people who will rank you in a few days in a very low amount. If someone cracks the ranking formula of a trillion-dollar company so they would not sell them for 4 or 5 hundred dollars.
Infect some people message me on Instagram, that how these Fiverr sellers increase any website’s DA so fast? It is very simple just find a post commenting tool and crate automated backlink for your site your DA will increase immediately. Profile submission backlinks, signature backlinks, commenting backlinks, and whatever type of backlinks, not matters. Because Moz can just count your backlinks, it does not test backlinks type or quality it just counts backlinks and generates scores for you.
But Moz is far away from Google. Google first checks the backlink quality these types of backlinks are banned by Google, if you make such backlinks in the best case Google will ignore them and in the worst case, Google will give a penalty to your site. But DA will be good and managed. Now you just think you want to rank on Google or Moz. You will get traffic from google or Moz.
Employees from Google had said several times that do not consider any matrices like DA. But even after that in 90% of courses, you will find someone who thinks that DA is everything for ranking, after seeing them the new students also start focusing on DA.
Why everyone is considering DA so important?
There are several reasons for that, some are like-
- Moz had done very strong marketing of this DA word. But many people forget that Moz is not google. Moz is just a company that provides SEO tools and other services which only wants to grow their business just like other companies. Moz has taken the best advantage of its long presence in promoting DA.
- Google never gives a score or a matric for Search Engine Ranking. And it is a normal human tendency that when we see some invisible thing we try to visualize an icon for that and Moz has done the same thing by giving us DA. We think that DA is helping us in ranking because this DA is counted through no. of backlinks which is also a ranking factor of Google, therefore we get confused and consider DA as a ranking factor.
The moral or conclusion of this blog is that DA has no relation with ranking. If you or your client wants to consider this DA you must consider but taking some services to increase DA is a danger to both your resources and your site because as we discussed DA is manipulated by no. of backlinks not the quality of backlinks which can cause you a permanent punishment or penalty from Google.
